 Shugaba v Minister of Internal Affairs,

The plaintiff was deported by the Federal Government from Nigeria and he sought a declaration that he is a Nigerian citizen, an order of prohibition, injunction, damages and so forth. Held Granting all reliefs the court held that the plaintiff was Nigerian by virtue of Section 23 of the 1979 constitution and his deportation is a violation of his fundamental rights
